25th Anniversary Weekend - Ten Thousand Villages Ephrata store is hosting a special celebration in honor of 25th anniversary of marketing find handicrafts.

Gap

Harvest Festival Weekend - The 2007 Brandywine Valley Harvest Festival features a weekend full of music, wine and festivities. Starting at 6:30 PM on Saturday, September 29, 2007, there will be a concert of dance and motown music performed by Big Package. There will be another concert beginning at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 30, 2007. The Sunday concert will be by Ragtime Willi who will perform funky folk music.

Holtwood

31st Eastern Primitive Rendezvous - A recreation of the origional rendezous from the 18th and 19th century. Experience what daily life was like between 1740 and 1840. Participants can compete in marksmenship, archery, and traditional Scottish Highland games as well as in cooking and baking contests. There will be skilled artists on hand demonstrating spinning, weaving, gun building, tanning, blacksmithing, tinsmithing, and sewing clothing of the period. There will also be demonstrations of the decorative Indian arts of porcupine quillwork and beadwork. Furthermore, there will also be featured spontaneous, impromptu musical performances on various instruments of the past such as Appalachian and hammered dulcimers, guitars, banjos, fiddles, bagpipes, fifes and concertinas to name a few. Musicians will play songs of the sea, of the prairie, and of the mountains; and, of Celtic, European and American origins. There will be plenty of games that will teach children how fun history can be.

Landisville

26th Annual Amos Herr Park Country Fair There will lots of Arts and crafts, food, and live entertainment. Special attractions include an Antique and Classic Car Show as well as helicopter rides. In case of rain, the fair will be held on September 25, 2007.

Lancaster City

29th Annual Long's Park Art & Craft Festival - Recognized as one of American's top fine art and contemporary craft shows, this annual Labor Day weekend event features 200 exhibitors from across the country. Exquisite jewelry, magnificent paintings, trend-setting apparel and leather, beautiful ceramics and mixed media creations, stunning sculptures and much more will be on display. In addition there will be plenty of live music and gourmet cuisine all weekend long.

22nd Annual Hospice of Lancaster County Labor Day Auction - This popular benefit auction attracts approximately 8,000-10,000 people each year. You will find thousands of handcrafted items including quilts, furniture, artwork and some of the best Pennsylvania Dutch food prepared fresh on-site by Lancaster County Amish chefs.

The Amazing Maize Maze - As seen in Sports Illustrated for Kids, the Amazing Maize Maze is high on the list of "25 Cool Things To Do This Summer". Your kids will love trying to find their way out of a giant maze carved into a 5-acre corn field. The walls of the paths are made of giant corn stalks about 10 feet high. In addition to the maze, admission entitles you to all the regular farm activities such as hayrides, wagon rides, a hay chute giant slide, an obstacle course, a petting zoo, a bee hive observatory, plenty of games and much more. There is also a picnic area and lots of great fresh food.

2nd Annual Potato Festival - You and your family will enjoy this fun festival devoted to the potato. Special activities include potato eating contests, potato sack races, potato crafts, and tons of potato foods. There will also be two afternoon shows performed by Phredd, a fun kids performer who will have kids of all ages on their feet and singing along. All guests of the festival receive one free baked potato as a special thank you for attending the 2nd Annual Potato Festival.

Strasburg Heritage Day Antique and Craft Fair - Strasburg Heritage Day, now in its 36th year, features an outdoor antique and craft fair with up to 100 exhibit spaces in an open park setting. There will be plenty of food, music and a hand made quilt raffle. The Strasburg Museum will also be open.
