Here is a listing and description of some of the special April events taking place throughout Lancaster County:

Adamstown

Adamstown Community Days- Your whole family will love the 5th Annual Adamstown Community celebration. There will be plenty of live music, food, fun and free entertainment. The weekend festivities will conclude with a fireworks display Sunday night at 10:00 PM.

Holtwood

Lancaster County Longrifles Rendezvous & Shoot - Take a step back in time and see what life was like between 1740 and 1840. Stroll through an 18th Century living history encampment and watch participants competing in shooting matches, Highland games, tomahawk throwing, cooking over an open fire, and much more. All lodges, clothes, tools, and trade goods reflect what was commonly available during the time period. So, come and enjoy a taste of life in a simpler time.

24th Annual Rhubarb Festival- Surround yourself in music, food, games, and fun for the entire family. Indulge in a menue of rhubarb-inspired treats, baked goods, jams, and beverages, Find out who will win the annual "Best Rhubarb Dessert in Lancaster County" baking contest. The kids will love the "Rhubarb Race Car Derby".

Community Days at Buchanan Park - Join the community festival at Buchanan Park. There will be carnival rides, games, music, food, and all-around fun for the entire family to enjoy.

10th Annual Artistry in Motion, Vintage Grand Tour & Show - Join Lancaster Musuem of Art in celebrating their 10th year of celebrating artistry in motion by honoring the Porche. The beautiful grounds of Bridge Acres Stables will be your backdrop as you sip champagne, listen to jazz, and stroll among classic motor vehicles.

  • Location: The tour consists of the vintage vehicles assembling at High Pavillion at Greenfield Corporate Center in Lancaster. From there the vehicles will tour 35 miles to their final destination at Bridge Acres Stables, 1470 Hunsicker Road, Lancaster, PA 17602

Herb & Garden Faire - This is one of the largest plant and garden sales on the East Coast. More than 80 vendors will tempt you with flowers, herbs, historic seeds, and garden accessories. Come and help celebrate the 20th anniversary of Landis Valley's highly regarded Heirloom Seed Project. Demonstrations range from cooking with herbs to homeopathic uses for plants.

Lititz Spring Antique Show and Sale - Unique antique collectibles will be on display at this special event.

14th Annual Friendship Community Festival & Auction - During th the weekend there will lots of auctions including specialty auctions devoted to quilts, lawn & garden items, and collectibles. Items include handcrafted wooden toys and paintings by local artists. There will be plenty of food including a chicken barbecue on Friday, a special pancake breakfast Saturday morning and a 12-station food court offering plenty of homemade goodies. Fun family activities include a miniature horses and pygmy goats petting area, games, and hot air ball0on rides.

Ronks

Farm Baby Days - Every Saturday from May 26, 2007 to June 30, 2007, Cherry-Crest Farm invites you and your child for a hands-on visit with some of the farm's baby animals from the popular Farm Animal Center. On May 26, 2007, meet Bruno, the baby calf. Other fun activities include the Giant Hay Shoot Slide, Singing Chicken Show, and Lil' Farmers Playland. The Food Court offers fresh squeezed lemonade and their famous Kettle Korn.
