The Spitfire Grill - After her release from prison, Perchance Talbott needed a place to make a fresh start. Inspired by an image of "autumn colors along Copper Creek near Gilead, Wisconsin…" from an old travel guide, Percy picks a town on its last legs. The small, remaining population has been beaten down by years of adversity and false memories of a perfect past.

Hannah, the cantankerous owner of the Spitfire Grill — who just wants to sell the grill and move on, but can’t find a buyer — reluctantly takes Percy in. And the town will never be the same again. After the rumors and speculation about Percy's intentions die down, the denizens of Gilead uncover the hope that had been lying dormant for decades.

Filled with over a dozen soul-stirring bluegrass songs, The Spitfire Grill will lift and inspire even the most cynical heart. "Soulful and transcendent... It is not often that material moves me to tears, but this was one of those occasions. What even in normal times would be a joy is, in these troubled ones, sheer nourishment." -John Simon, New York Magazine
